Visual Design

Visual design or UI involves defining the visual language of an interface, adhering to best practices in usability and interface design.

Interface design is not the same as UI: interface design may or may not include UI. For example, creating a wireframe involves designing an interface but not applying UI, whereas applying style rules to an interface involves UI but does not involve designing the interface itself.
